Jennifer Roberts is the author of Good Green Kitchens, Redux and Good Green Homes. She is a freelance writer, lecturer and consultant specializing in ways in which we can improve our environment and enrich our lives by building better buildings.
Her writings about green buildings and green living have appeared in dozens of publications including Dwell, San Francisco Business Times, Professional Builder, Body + Soul, This Old House and The Financial Times of London.
Before embarking on a freelance writing career, Jennifer worked as an environmental and energy-management specialist for Gap Inc., and in the early 1990s she started up San Francisco’s first environmental general stores.
Educated at Dartmouth College and Stanford University, Jennifer holds a certificate in urban permaculture design and has professional accreditation from LEED, the U.S. Green Building Council program that recognizes expertise in green building practices. She lives in San Francisco with her partner Erik, their dog and four chickens.
